In the morning we start to ride along the coast to Anuradhapura. On the beach road you can visit fish market and see fishermen activities.
Anuradhapura is one of the ancient capitals of Sri Lanka. Anuradhapura is famous for its well-preserved ruins of the ancient Sri Lankan civilization. From the 4th century BC, it was the capital of Sri Lanka until the beginning of the 11th century AD.
We visit the Sri Maha Bodhi, an offshoot of the historical Bodhi tree under which Buddha became enlightened and was planted in Anuradhapura in 288 BC, Abhayagiri Dagaba. This is one of the most sacred Buddhist pilgrimage towns and extensive ruins in the world. Ruwanwelisaya Stupa is considered a marvel for its architectural qualities. Thuparamaya Collarbone of Buddha is enshrined in the chateau of Thuparamaya. It is the first dagaba built in Sri Lanka. Lovamahapaya also known as Brazen Palace Lovamahapaya is a complex which was once a structure of its own class.
Jetavanaramaya is the largest stupa in Sri Lanka. It was the third largest structure in the ancient world. Mirisaveti Stupa It was built by King Dutugamunu after defeating King Elara. A legend associates it with the relics of Lord Buddha. LankaramaThis is a stupa constructed by King Valagamba in an ancient place.

Early in the morning we start riding towards Dambulla from the hotel. We will ride by paddy fields past beautifully villages, small jungle, and hopefully we can see some animals in that environment. We proceed on to Dambulla and visit a 2nd century Buddhist cave temple. Also known as the Golden Temple, it is the largest and best-preserved cave temple complex in the country and contains more than 150 Buddha statues.
Evening is a great time to visit the Dambulla cave temple. The Dambulla Cave Temples are ancient rock temples built into five caves displaying a range of Buddha statues and beautiful artwork. We should see the sunset through the mountains.

After breakfast, we start cycling from Dambulla to Sigiriya. We ride around one of the lakes in Dambulla and along the way you will see some vegetable gardens and paddy fields. After arrival into Sigiriya you can sample fresh fruits and relax for a little time before we climb the Sigiriya Lion Rock.
Sigiriya is one of the most important archaeological sites in all of Asia. Built in the 5th-century, Sigiriya is a stunning example of innovative architecture, gardening, urban planning, hydraulic engineering and art. Also a UNESCO-listed World Heritage site, the area was formerly the royal citadel of King Kasyapa and houses an fascinating museum of the its past. Leave Sigiriya in the early evening

After breakfast, we proceed to Polonaruwa an ancient city of Sri Lanka from the 11th to the 13th century AD. This ancient city is today one of the most beautiful centers of this island’s cultural heritage. Today you will though the local village, water canal and nice bird watching places. We have lunch in polonnatuwa and thenl ride to the hotel and on to Minneriya National Park.
Minneriya National Park is a wildlife sanctuary located in the North Central province of Sri Lanka. You would be able to spot large numbers of Sri Lankan Elephants gathering around to grass fields on the edges of the reservoir during the dry season (March – October). In addition there are two endemic monkeys, large herbivorous mammals, rare and endangered species and large water birds. The endemic birds, eight species of endemic reptiles, saltwater crocodile, Indian python, Asian water monitor, and Bengal monitors are among many animals you will encounter.

We cycle to Kandy from the hotel and along the way we will pass lakes, jungle, tree huts, water canals, local villages and animal habitats. We finish the ride at one of the herbal gardens at Mathale. We have lunch in the herbal garden. After that we drive to Kandy about 1h vehicle transfer.
Kandy, the last capital of the Sri Lankan kings, has been declared a world heritage site. The name Kandy conjures visions of splendour and glory. Many of the legends, traditions and folklore are yet lively and vibrant here. Drive around the Kandy lake constructed by the last sinhala king Sri Wickrama Rajasinghe in 1806. Tour the arts & crafts centre and a gem museum and a lapidary. In evening we will go to Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic in Kandy
