Can beginners do a multi-day tour?

Absolutely - our half-day and full-day rides and most of our Cultural Triangle and South Coast multi-day tours sit at difficulty 1-2. We'll point you to the right one.

Can I bring my own bike?

Yes. Tell us in your enquiry and we'll arrange any adjustments to the support vehicle. Most guests prefer to use our bikes to avoid airline fees - but we're set up for either.

What kind of bikes do you use?

We run hardtail mountain bikes on every tour (Scott, Giant, and Bergamont), with e-bikes available on request for hillier routes or longer days (E Motorad and Waltx). See our Bikes & Guides page for photos and specs.

What happens if I can't finish a day's ride?

Our support vehicle follows every tour. If you're tired, injured, or just done for the day, the vehicle is always there to pick you up - no questions asked.

Do I need travel insurance?

Yes, we require all guests to have travel insurance that covers cycling activities. We'll advise on what to look for when you book.

Is cycling on Sri Lankan roads safe?

The routes we use are chosen specifically to avoid busy main roads. We ride on village backstreets, estate roads, and quiet coastal lanes wherever possible. Every ride starts with a 10-minute safety briefing.

Do I need a visa for Sri Lanka?

Most nationalities can get an ETA (Electronic Travel Authorisation) online before arrival. We'll share the exact process in your pre-tour briefing. See the official ETA portal: eta.gov.lk

Where do tours start?

Most of our tours start in Negombo, close to Bandaranaike International Airport. We'll organise a recommended airport transfer as part of your pre-tour briefing.

Can I book as a solo traveller?

Absolutely. We run tours with individuals, couples, families, and groups. If you want a private tour, we'll arrange one. If you're open to joining a small group, we can match you with other travellers on the same dates.

How far in advance should I book?

High season (December-March) tends to book out 3-6 months ahead. Shoulder season is more flexible. For any tour, the earlier the better - we run small groups and dates fill.

What's your cancellation policy?

30% deposit at booking (non-refundable), full balance due 30 days before the tour. Cancellations more than 30 days before travel keep the deposit as credit toward a future booking. We'll share full T&Cs with your quote.
